Ballot Measure Information

There will be one question for voter consideration on the May 21 ballot-The Alternative Expenditure Limitation (Home Rule Option).

Every four years, Arizona law requires that voters give authority to cities and towns to spend revenues collected for the operation of public services that exceed the state imposed limitation. This is not a new tax-simply authority to spend what has already been collected and what is calculated to be necessary to spend for the operation of Marana town services.

The Publicity Pamphlet was mailed to Marana households on April 23. Pages 6 and 7 give both a Summary Analysis and a Detailed Analysis of this measure.
