The designation of the Marana Single Central Business District is one of the steps establishing an active center of commerce for Marana, a place where people can choose to live, work, shop and play - all ingredients for a successful, thriving community.

To meet this challenge the Town Council approved and authorized the designation of a Single Central Business District by Resolution 2008.60 on May 6, 2008.

Located along Interstate 10, the Marana Single Central Business District generally extends from Tangerine Road north to Marana Road.

The Marana Single Central Business District will be more than a small, retail oriented district. It will be an authentic place that will reflect the Town's history and serve as a foundation for the Town as we transition from a predominately rural agricultural community to an active urban center.

The Marana Single Central Business District will encourage investment and reinvestment in the community, attract businesses and jobs, and provide a strong identity for the community, generally improving the quality of life for all Marana's citizens.
