Codes & Amendments
2006 Building Codes went into effect on January 5, 2007.
The following codes have been adopted and are currently being enforced by the Town of Marana:
- 2006 International Building Code with amendments additional IBC Amendments
- 2006 International Residential Code with amendments additional IRC Amendments
- The IRC is a stand-alone code covering architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical requirements for One & Two Family Dwellings.
- 2006 International Mechanical Code with amendments
- 2006 International Plumbing Code with amendments (adopted 07/01/2007) additional IPC amendments
- 2006 International Energy Conservation Code with amendments
- 2006 International Property Maintenance Code with amendments
- 2005 National Electrical Code with amendments
- 2006 International Fire Code with amendments (adopted 08/21/2007)
- 2006 Town of Marana Pool and Spa Code
- 2008 Town of Marana Outdoor Lighting Code (adopted 8/12/2008)
- Adult Care Assisted Living Facilities
- Construction Noise Ordinance
- Notice for Builders briefly summarizes the Town's noise ordinance, advises of noise restrictions within specific areas and for certain types of work, and provides guidelines to builders and contractors for obtaining special permits when work is to be conducted outside of limited timeframes.
- Resident Notification Form is required to be distributed to affected residents in conjunction with a special permit application for work that will generate noise outside of limited timeframes.
- Other Agency Contact Information is a listing of various governmental agencies responsible for oversight related to addressing, public sewer system connections, private septic systems, industrial wastewater control, demolition & asbestos abatement, food service establishments & commerical pools, and fire prevention. Each of these agencies may have fees associated with their plan review, permitting, and inspections of specific projects. Please contact the corresponding agency for such information.
